Abstract
Ramsay-Hunt syndrome (Herpes zoster oticus) is characterized by a herpes zoster eruption of the head and neck complicated by facial palsy. The syndrome is caused by reactivation of latent varicella-zoster virus in the geniculate ganglion. This disorder affects mostly adult, but small cases of children with herpes zoster oticus have been reported. Therefore it is considered rare in children, especially those under the age of 6. We report Ramsay-Hunt syndrome in a 4-year-old normal child after varicella vaccination with a review of literatures.
